Proudly Australian owned and designed, the Neo brand was developed by Apollo Bicycles. Renowned in Australia, and with over 40 years of experience in the bicycle industry, Apollo designed Neo as a lightweight range of kid’s bikes, with the aim to make learning to ride as easy, fun, and safe as possible. Our range of bicycles is available in 5 wheel sizes from 12” all the way up to 26”, and a wide range of colours to suit kids of all ages and skill levels.

Introducing

GEN 3 DESIGN

We’re excited to unveil our Gen 3 range, which introduces some of our biggest changes yet to our lightest bike range ever.

Our updated frame geometry maintains Neo’s absolute focus on engineering lower standover heights via the bottom bracket and curved top tube across our 16” and 20“ single speed models. This redesign lowers the centre of gravity, allowing the rider's feet to more easily touch the ground, promoting greater confidence and control.

We’ve also upgraded and refined many of the components across the range to enhance the look of the Neo bike range. Matte black handlebars and brake levers, as well as black rims and spokes can be found across all models, along with a wider tyre size to provide a smoother rolling experience. Our 16” and 20” single speed models also feature a new, fully-enclosed chainguard which is light, and offers better overall protection.

Our signature brushed alloy finish has been reimagined with a vibrant chrome colour palette. The paint technique allows our brushed alloy finish to shine through for a bright and colourful finish, helping kids to stay visible while riding, and at the same time adding a new level of refinement to the Neo range.

We design the total bike with the rider's safety in mind. From the semi-slick tyres for smooth rolling performance, right up to the child-specific brake levers and grips offering control, comfort, and minimised slippage, the Neo range has been designed from the ground up to be as safe as possible for kids.

With a low standover height to help boost confidence while learning, the Neo geometry has been optimised for growing bodies. Combined with adjustable components you can dial in the best fit for your child, ensuring they’re comfortable and confident while learning to ride.

DESIGNED TO PERFORM

Custom components and lightweight construction for a reliable, comfortable, and efficient ride. We've carefully selected a complete range of child-specific components tailored to each size bike, from narrow, lightweight handlebars with non-slip grips to our soft Comfortech saddles and durable pedals. To maximise efficiency, we use lightweight alloy throughout the frame, fork, and many of the components including rims and handlebars, creating an agile foundation that's easier to start moving, manoeuvre, and maintain speed without wasting energy. The result is a kid's bike that combines the weight-saving approach of adult bikes with child-focused design, ensuring your child can learn safely, ride confidently, and enjoy the journey.

Each bicycle in our range benefits from a number of technologies, turning our Design Philosophies into the final product.

For the Neo+ range, we carefully selected hydroformed tubes to create our new frames. Normally reserved for more high-end adult bikes, the hydroforming process allows the tubes to be reshaped into sleeker, more advanced profiles, resulting in an increased strength to weight ratio, along with a refined and sporty finish.

Featherweight alloy construction is used in both our frames and forks, which not only shaves weight off the bike, but also improves overall handling without sacrificing strength.

Light and comfy saddles, sized specifically for each Neo model, help smooth out the bumps, and make the ride enjoyable.

What makes a bike easier to ride? Our bikes focus on two key factors that make all the difference.

First, weight matters. A lighter bike is easier to start, maintain speed, and stop. That’s why we use lightweight alloy frames, forks, and components throughout.

Second, proper fit is crucial. When a bike doesn’t fit well, children waste energy compensating for poor positioning. We design our handlebars to match children’s shoulder width and arm length, creating an optimal riding position that enables comfortable, efficient pedaling.

Featured on geared Neo models, reliable Shimano gearing provides a greater level of riding efficiency. The benefits of gearing allow your kids to ride further, have greater control of speed, and tackle hills.
